Our Club was established in 1978. We have around 18 active members (including 3 juniors) covering a wide age range and diverse modelling interests and skills. In addition to this, we have a number of Associate and Honorary members who have served the Club well over the years but have moved away or are unable to attend meetings. Our aims are to work on and operate our layouts, talk railways (real and model), learn new skills with 'workshop' evenings and enjoy ourselves.
The Club is based in Aston Clinton (midway between Tring and Aylesbury) at our permanent Clubroom. Membership is drawn from a wide area including Aylesbury and surrounding villages as well as the Tring and Leighton buzzard areas. Meetings are held on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, as well as working and operating sessions at other times.
We happily welcome visitors and prospective new members as our guests. Junior members (12-17 years) need to be accompanied by a named adult(s) who should also be members of the Club. Subscriptions are currently £120 p.a. (£60 junior) which may be paid quarterly. If you would like further information or to visit us, please do not hesitate to approach us using the "Contact Us" page.
Bradfield Gloucester Square
At present we have 3 Club layouts available for exhibitions, two in N gauge (Rugby Central and Braysdale) and one in OO (Bradfield Gloucester Square). There are also members layouts available for exhibitions. In addition, we have a 'Junior' layout which has a double track circuit in OO and an OO9 circuit linking at an interchange siding. We are also working on a OO model of Templecombe (S&D) loco shed area.
Details of Club and Members layouts are available elsewhere on the website.
